In the clash between two teams in the bottom half of the table, Delhi Capitals ultimately came on top in a rather-low scoring yet thrilling encounter. 

After a top-order shattering bowling performance by the Delhi Capitals, Kolkata Knight Riders managed 146/9 in 20 overs courtesy of Nitish Rana's half-century and captain Iyer's careful 42. Kuldeep Yadav was the pick of the bowlers as the spinner picked up 4 wickets while pacer Mustafizur Rahman managed 3 wickets. 

In reply, DC opener Prithvi Shaw was dismissed on the very first delivery and the match suddenly looked even. Warner played an explosive 26-ball-42 in the powerplay while Rovman Powell (33*) and Axar Patel (24) made sure team crossed the winning line with an over and 4 wickets in hand.

The top half remains unchanged with Gujarat Titans still on top with 14 points in eight matches, followed by Rajasthan Royals with 12 points in 8 matches. Sunrisers Hyderabad, Lucknow Super Giants and Royal Challengers Bangalore remain on 3rd, 4th and 5th spot respectively with 10 points each. 

In the bottom half of the table, Delhi Capitals gained a spot with the win against KKR and are at 6th spot with 8 points in eight matches. Consequently, Punjab moved down to 7th, while the rest of the table remains unchanged with KKR on 8th, CSK on 9th and still win-less MI on the last spot.

Jos Buttler is comfortably leading the run-scoring charts, with 499 runs in 8 matches, and wears the Orange Cap. KL Rahul is on the second spot with 368 runs followed by GT skipper Hardik Pandya with 222 runs.

Yuzvendra Chahal is leading the purple cap race with 18 wickets. However, Kuldeep Yadav is following closely behind now with his 4 wicket-haul against former franchise Kolkata Knight Riders. Kuldeep has 17 wickets to his name now.
