List of Records that can be made during India-South Africa 4th ODI

Feb.10 (CRICKETNMORE) - India are 3-0 ahead in the ongoing six-match series against South Africa with 4th ODI to be played at Johannesburg on Saturday. The team India will be eyeing series win in the 4th ODI and on the verge of breaking couple of records. Lets have a look at some of the records that can be made in 4th ODI:

​​#1. India had never won any series in South Africa and if they won the fourth ODI, it will​ ​their first-ever series in South Africa. ​​

#2. This match will be played in Pink as a part of a campaign for breast cancer awareness by the Proteas team. Interestingly, Africa never lost any of the 5 matches they have played in pink. With the results so far in India's favour,If tourist won the 4th ODI, they will put a break to South Africa's winning momentum in Pink Jersey.

#3. Virat Kohli​ ​who already has 12 ODI hundreds as a Captain​ ​will join AB de Villiers​ (13)​ in the list of most centuries in ODI as captain if he scores a​ ​century in the​ ​4th ODI. Ricky Ponting​ ​tops the list with 22 ODI​ ​hundreds​ ​as captain​. ​

#4. Ajinkya Rahane needs​ ​88 runs​ ​more to complete 3000 runs in ODI​. Currently, he has 2912 runs in ODI.​ ​ If Rahane achieves this milestone in 4th ODI, he will become India's 20th cricketer to do so.

 

#5. MS Dhoni needs​ ​88 runs​ ​more to complete​ ​10000 runs in ODI cricket​. Currently, he has 9912 runs in ODI​. If Dhoni achieves this milestone in 4th ODI, he will become India's 4th and overall 12th cricketer with 10k ODI runs.

#6. Virat Kohli needs 31 more runs to surpass Rahul Dravid’s 2658 runs as captain in ODIs. He is currently at 2628 runs as Indian skipper.

#7. Indian record of most wickets by spinners in a bilateral series is against Zimbbawe in 2013 when Amit Mishra (18), Ravindra Jadeja (5) and Suresh Raina (1) collectively took 24 wickets. In the ongoing series against South Africa, Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav have shared 21 wickets and if they take 4 wickets in the upcoming ODI, it will be a new record for India
