Mitchell Marsh's brilliant all-round performance guided Delhi Capitals to an easy eight-wicket win against Rajasthan Royals in match 58 of the IPL 2022 played at Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy, Mumbai.

Chasing a below target of 161, DC lost opener KS Bharat on the second ball of the run chase but after that, it was all Marsh and David Warner's show. The Australian duo added 144 runs for the second wicket in 101 balls - the highest partnership for DC this season.

Marsh was the aggressor among the duo as he smacked 89 runs in 62 balls with the help of five fours and seven sixes. Warner gave the perfect support to Marsh as he dropped anchor and finished the game with an unbeaten 52 off 41 balls with the help of five fours and a six.

Marsh got out in the 18th over and Rishabh Pant smacked two sixes to open his arms. Pant scored 13 off 4 balls and remained not out at the other as Delhi finished the game with 11 balls to spare.

Earlier, Rajasthan Royals scored 160 runs in the first inning on the back of a half-century from R Ashwin. It's not like there was a collapse for RR; Ashwin came in to bat at number three in the third over after Jos Buttler got out cheaply.

Ashwin added 43 runs in 32 balls with Yashaswi Jaiswal for the second wicket and then added 53 runs in 36 balls with Devdutt Padikkal for the third. Ashwin scored 50 in 38 balls before getting out in the 15th over.

Not many balls were left for the main batters like Sanju Samson, Rassie Van de Dussen, and Riyan Parag to score runs and the Royals finished at a below score of 160. Devdutt Padikkal hit 48 off 30 balls with the help of six fours and two sixes.

Chetan Sakariya, Anrich Nortje, and Mitchell Marsh took two wickets each for the Delhi.
