Wade, Finch fined for breaching Cricket Australia's code of behaviour
Sydney, October 17 - Victorian skipper Matthew Wade and opening batsman Aaron Finch have been fined for breaching Cricket Australia’s Code of Behaviour in a Matador One-Day Cup match against South Australia in Bankstown.
The Bushrangers duo were each reported following their dismissal on Friday under Article 2.1.4 -- Using language that is obscene, offensive or insulting during a match, while Finch was also cited for breaching Article 2.1.3 -- Showing dissent at an umpire’s decision, after he was dismissed in Victoria’s batting innings, reported cricket.com.au.
Finch was unhappy after being given out lbw off the bowling of Daniel Worrall early in the run chase, while Wade was visibly frustrated after a big mix-up with non-striker Dan Christian that ended in a run-out in the shock loss to the West End Redbacks.
While Wade was fined 50 percent of his match fee, Finch was fined 70 percent of his match fee.
