CSK vs PBKS IPL 2022: Mahendra Singh Dhoni - probably the most popular name in Indian cricket, as time and again shown why he's so popular among the fans. In the 11th match of IPL 2022, MS yet again displayed his age-proof fitness and presence of mind.

Bhanuka Rajapaksa, the keeper-batter from Sri Lanka, has shown incredible T20 skills in the 2 IPL matches he played in. The Lankan batter had displayed so much promise that he was preferred over explosive England batter Jonny Bairstow in the playing XI. Hence, when he came out to bat in the first over itself, CSK had to make sure that they dismissed the batter early to build on the pressure.

And so, former captain MS Dhoni rose to the occasion. On the 2nd ball of the 2nd over, Rajapaksa pushed the short length delivery on the leg stumps and Shikhar Dhawan took a step towards the striker's end. Thinking of it as a call for a run, Bhanuka charged towards the non-striker's end. However, Shikhar Dhawan instantly turned around to go back into the crease after seeing Chris Jordan moving swiftly towards the ball to collect it.

Jordan immediately threw the ball towards the striker's end as Bhanuka was running back towards his crease. The bowler missed the direct hit and Dhoni was running in to cover the throw. The keeper dived and made a throw on the stumps, and replay saw Bhanuka Rajapaksa out of his crease. However, Dhoni displayed his confident smile after the run-out which was enough to assure the batter's dismissal.

While talking about the match, Chennai Super Kings captain Ravindra Jadeja won the toss & opted to bowl first against Punjab Kings in the 11th match of IPL 2022. This match is being played at Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai. At the time of writing this piece, PBKS are at 82/2 in 7 overs with Livingstone (45*) and Shikhar Dhawan (20*) at the crease.
