Jos Buttler rose above all with his unbeaten 162 runs off just 70 deliveries at the same stadium. 

Two more English batters smacked tons in the first ODI - opener Phillip Salt & Dawid Malan, with scores of 122 and 125 respectively. Liam Livingstone provided the finishing touches as he smashed second-fastest ODI fifty, off just 17 deliveries, which is also the fastest fifty for any English batter. 

In the second innings, the Dutch team was majorly out of the game, as they only could show their spirit by going for the chase. Looking on the bright side, the Netherlands batters performed fairly well as they reached a total of 266 in 49.4 overs. Opener Max O'Dowd was a treat to watch with his easy-looking shots & placements, as he smacked 72 runs off 56 balls, and can be a player to watch out for in the 2nd ODI, where Netherlands need to win to stay alive in the series.
