New Zealand beat Windies by 143 runs, enter semis

21st March, Wellington - Martin Guptill's unbeaten 237 powered New Zealand to the semi-finals of the cricket World Cup as they defeated the West Indies by 143 runs in a quarter-final at the Wellington Regional Stadium here on Saturday.

Guptill's double century powered the hosts to 393/6. In reply, the West Indies were bowled out for 250 in 30.3 overs.

In the first semi-final on March 24, New Zealand will face South Africa in Auckland.

New Zealand skipper B McCullum won the toss and opt to bat first against West Indies in the fourth Quarter-Final match of ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 here today.
