Bhubaneswar, October 7 -  Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday directed a top official to probe the unruly scenes witnessed during the second T20 cricket match between India and South Africa at Barabati stadium in Cuttack on Monday.

The peeved chief minister, who chaired a review meeting to analyse as to how the water bottles were allowed into the stadium, directed home secretary Asit Kumar Tripathy to probe the matter and submit a report within one month.

He also rapped the Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) and police and directed them to ensure that such shameful incidents were not repeated in future.

"Anguished over unfortunate incident at Barabati T20 yesterday. Directed OCA and police to prevent recurrence in future. Home Secy to enquire," Patnaik tweeted.

On Monday, the T20 match between India and South Africa was disrupted twice as angry spectators, disappointed with India's dismal performance, hurled water bottles into the ground.

India were bundled out for 92, while South Africa easily reached the target.
