Pat Cummins is one of the best fast bowlers of the current generation and has now become Australia's Test captain following Tim Paine's exit.

1) Pat Cummins made his test debut in 2011 when he was just 18 years old. He played the test match at Wanderers Stadium, Johannesburg, and ended up being the man of the match for his seventh wicket and 13 runs in the second innings to win the match for Australia. 

2) Cummins, in 2011-12, became the youngest player ever to earn a central contract for Cricket Australia. 

3) Pat Cummins lost the top of his middle finger on his right hand at the age of three years when it got slammed in the door. 

4) Cummins bowled with a heel injury during his test debut. For the next six years, Cummins kept getting injured with stress fractures and only played his second in 2017 during the tour of India.
