Punjab batsman Mandeep Singh to lead India A against South Africa

New Delhi, September 23 - Punjab's top-order batsman Mandeep Singh will lead India A in a warm-up Twenty20 match against South Africa to be played at the Palam Cricket Ground here on September 29, it was announced on Wednesday. The match will start at 11 a.m.

Board of Control for Cricket in India's (BCCI) All-India Senior Selection Committee met earlier in the day to finalise the 12-member team.

The 23-year-old Jalandhar-born used to play for Kings XI Punjab in the Indian Premier League (IPL) but now plays for the Royal Challengers Bangalore.

The warm-up game will be followed by three Twenty20 Internationals between India and South Africa, to be held on October 2 (Dharamsala), October 5 (Cuttack) and October 8 (Kolkata).

India A squad: Mayank Agarwal, Manan Vohra, Manish Pandey, Mandeep Singh, Surya Kumar Yadav, Sanju Samson, Hardik Pandya, Rishi Dhawan, Anureet Singh, Yuzvendra Chahal, Pawan Negi, Kuldeep Yadav.
