Punjab's Maxwell fined, Marsh warned for breaching code of conduct

Hyderabad, April 25।  Kings XI Punjab all-rounder Glenn Maxwell was on Monday fined 25 percent of his match fee for breaching the Indian Premier League (IPL)'s code of conduct against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Hyderabad beat Punjab by five wickets at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium on Saturday.

"Mr Maxwell admitted to the level 1 offence (Article 2.1.8) of abuse of cricket equipment or clothing, ground equipment or fixtures and fittings during a match and accepted the sanction of a fine of 25% of his match fee," an IPL statement said.
"For Level 1 breaches of the IPL Code of Conduct, the Match Referee's decision is final and binding."

Maxwell's team-mate batsman Shaun Marsh was also reprimanded, receiving an official warning for breaching the code of conduct against Hyderabad in the match.

"Marsh admitted the Level 1 offence (Article 2.1.8) of abuse of cricket equipment or clothing, ground equipment or fixtures and fittings during a match."
