GT vs CSK IPL 2022: Rashid Khan, captaining the Gujarat Titans' side for the first time, went wicketless with the ball. However, the Afghan 'all-rounder' smacked with the bat and helped his team seal a thriller against defending champions Chennai Super Kings.

GT were at 122/5 after 17 overs while chasing a target of 170, requiring another 48 runs off 3 overs. Rashid was batting on 8 runs from 12 balls while Miller was set at the other end with 79 runs in 43 balls. Chris Jordan, who has been acquired by CSK to use as a death over specialist bowler, was soon to experience a nightmare.

Rashid Khan, in a mood to win his first match as captain, showed wonders of his wrist as Jordan missed his yorker, and the batter did well enough to stay low and under the ball. Moving his front leg out of the way, and smacked it over mid-wicket for a six.

On the next delivery, DJ Bravo took the pace off the ball as he delivered a wide yorker. Rashid timed it to perfection as he sliced it over point for another six. However, Jordan went on with the plan of bowling yorkers to the bowling all-rounder, and missed one again on the next delivery. Rashid lofted it over cover for a four, taking on the 'death over' specialist.

The 4th delivery of the over yet again saw Rashid's wonder wrists as he smacked the full delivery flat over the line for a six. A total of 25 runs came from the over, dropping the equation to GT needing 23 runs in 12 balls, which Miller helped achieve with one delivery and 3 wickets remaining. Rashid was dismissed on the fifth delivery of the 19th over by Bravo after scoring an invaluable 40 runs off 21 balls with 2 fours and 3 sixes.
