April 29 (CRICKETNMORE) - Sunrisers Hyderbad beat Kings XI Punjab by 26 runs in an IPL match at Punjab Cricket Association Stadium in Mohali on Friday night. Chasing the victory target of 208, the home side was restricted to 191/9. The Afghani leg-spinner playing for Hyderabad was awarded player of the match for his tight spell of 1/16 from 4 overs. He dedicated this award to his brother.

Both the captains shared their views in post match presentation ceremony. Below are the excerpts from their interviews:

Rashid Khan (Sunrisers Hyderabad, Player of the Match)

It's a big league and it's a big stage, playing with big names. So always trying my best to learn from them. We have a very good coaching staff. Murali has been superb so far with me and is supporting me and is giving me all his experience. I'm enjoying myself with him. The confidence and the motivation given from the coaching staff and the skipper helps. I would like to dedicate this award to my brother. He has prayed for me and this goes to him.

David Warner (Sunrisers Hyderabad Captain)

We know here generally, getting 180 you generally win most games. The wicket played fantastic. Fantastic innings from Marsh. Couple of basic drops from us in the outfield. It's a bit hard at this venue in the lights, but no excuses. Shikhar wanted to play his natural game today. He felt that he was holding back and checking his shots a bit. The way he played, it was the Shikhar of old. Williamson is a fantastic player, the way he plays so freely and elegantly, it's great for our team. I've said in my previous interviews that we strive to find the right balance, and we've got that. I just tried to tinker a bit with what Kings XI did that I felt was easier for us in the first six overs in our innings.

Glenn Maxwell (Kings XI Punjab Captain)

A close game. Probably shows how far we were. 25 runs and it shows what the difference it can make between a par score on this wicket. We were pretty sloppy on the field. We were sloppy with the ball as well. I don't think we executed well. When you bowl both sides of the wicket, good players will make you pay. We really didn't get off to a good start. Runs wise we were fine. Marsh was outstanding. He was class. He has been doing that consistently for 10 years now for Kings XI. Just go back to the basics. A quick turnaround for us is needed. Hopefully, turn up better in the next game.
