WATCH: Ravi Bishnoi Sends Roston Chase And Rovman Powell Back To Pavilion In A Single Over
India vs West Indies 1st T20I: Performing well enough on international debut is genuinely a dream come true for any youngster, especially if you're at the young age of 21. Ravi Bishnoi, too, realized this dream in the 1st T20I played between India and West Indies. Bishnoi managed to dismiss two batters in a single over, including Rovman Powell who was bought at a price of Rs 2.8 crores in the recent IPL 2022 Auction.
Windies batters looked to adapt their traditional aggressive approach, trying to smack the ball from the word 'go'. The 21-year old debutant, Rabi Bishnoi, however, kept the flow of runs in check - giving away just 17 runs in his quota of 4 overs at an impressive economy of 4.25. The young spinner spun a rather inescapable web around the Windies' batters, dismissing two of them as well.
In the 11th over of the West Indies batting, Nicholas Pooran and Roston Chase's partnership of 21 runs for the 3rd wicket was broken by Ravi Bishnoi. On the 2nd ball of the over, the leg spinner worked his magic as he caught Roston Chase on the pads in front of the stumps and dismissed him LBW. He took his second wicket of the match in the same over as well, dismissing Delhi Capitals' Rs. 2.8 crores buy Rovmann Powell on the penultimate ball of the over.
Notable, Ravi Bishnoi earlier missed a chance in the 6th over being bowled by Yuzvendra Chahal, when the debutant caught the ball at the boundary but his feet touched the boundary cushion. However, Bishnoi didn't let this dishearten him and gave his full effort in stopping Windies at an average total.

This is the 1st T20I of the three-match series between these two teams, to be played at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.
