Ravindra Jadeja Set To Be Ruled Out Of IPL 2022: Report
Chennai Super Kings' (CSK) star all-rounder, Ravindra Jadeja, is likely to be ruled out of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 due to an injury.
According to a report in Times Of India, CSK management isn't risking Jadeja's fitness due to which he was rested in the last game against Delhi Capitals on Sunday. Jadeja had suffered an upper-body injury during his side's match against Royal Challengers Bangalore.
It happened when Jadeja ran forward to catch the ball but couldn't balance himself while completing the catch and fell on the ground. He was looking in a lot of pain and was immediately attended to by the physio.
Upon accessing the injury in the last couple of days, Jadeja hasn't gotten better and the team might give him rest for the season, which is coming to an end for CSK anyways.
CSK are left with three league games and are heavily relying on mathematical possibilities to remain in the race for IPL playoffs. The Super Kings have won only four matches so far this season and are currently in the ninth spot on the IPL points table.
It has been a forgettable IPL for Ravindra Jadeja in all departments. He only scored 116 runs in 10 games he played and was only able to pick five wickets. Before the start of the season, Jadeja was named the captain of the franchise as MS Dhoni stepped down from the role. However, after eight games, Jadeja left the role and Dhoni was once again made the captain.

"I think captaincy burdened his prep and performances, it meant he could not go with the bat and ball with the same intensity," Dhoni had told in a post-match interview after Jadeja left the job.
