Royal Challengers Bangalore Appoint Sanjay Bangar As Head Coach

Royal Challengers Bangalore have appointed Sanjay Bangar as the head coach for the upcoming IPL 2022 on Tuesday, replacing Mike Hesson, who will remain the as the Director of Cricket Operations of the franchise. 

Hesson had donned the role of head coach for the second leg of the IPL 2021 after Simon Katich had withdrawn. 

RCB will see some massive changes in the squad with Virat Kohli also stepping down as the captain ahead of the Mega IPL Auction coming.

Bangar has been the batting coach of the Indian cricket team and also an interim coach for a brief period in the past. On his appointment as the head coach, Bangar said: "It's an honor and great opportunity to serve such a great franchise in the capacity of Head Coach. I have worked with some exceptional and talented members in the squad and can't wait to take this team to the next level."
