Sydney Sixers has finalized Shafali Verma to its squad in the upcoming Women's Big Bash League(WBBL) which means that the hard-hitting Indian opener will be opening the innings with one of the finest T20 batters currently - Alyssa Healy.

Shafali, a 17-year-old, is a prototype T20 Batter who sees the ball and tries to hit for the maximum. Her T20 strike rate of 148.31 is only bettered by Australia's Healy - 149.42.

Verma's T20 numbers in Australia are something to look at - five innings, 158 runs at a strike rate of 159.59 while averaging 39.50. The combination she would make with Healy will only add more destruction at the top.

Healy's strength is not only to hit big but also to play a longer inning. Her 148* is the highest individual score in women's T20I. There won't be a surprise if the pair finishes a game or two without needing any other batter.

To add more to the opposition's problem, Sydney Sixers is led by one of the best all-time all-rounders in cricket history - Ellyse Perry. There is no doubt that the Sixers will be a team to beat in this season of WBBL, which is likely to begin in October.
