Shakib Al Hasan Becomes The Highest Wicket Taker, Takes Over Malinga
Bangladesh captain Mamudullah won the toss and elected to bowl first against Scotland in the 2nd match of the T20 World Cup 2021. This match is being played at Al Amerat Cricket Ground, Al Amerat. This decision is proving fruitful as Bangladesh took six early wickets just for 53 runs.
In these 6 wickets, Shakib al Hasan picked up two wickets. As he dismissed Michael Leask for a 2 ball duck, he broke Malinga's record of 107 wickets in T20 cricket. Shakib al Hasan with his second wicket reached 108 wickets and became the highest wicket-taker in T20s. He also became the only cricketer with 12,000+ runs and 600+ wickets in international cricket.
