GT vs SRH IPL 2022: In the batter dominated T20 format, a bowler's job is especially a tough one. The batters constantly look to smash the bowlers, and the bowlers in turn wait for the right moment to get the batter out despited getting smacked. Shami showed similar patience as he managed to dismiss Rahul Tripathi after getting smacked for 14 runs in 3 balls.

Gujarat Titans bowler Shami was bowling his 3rd consecutive overs in the powerplay as he came on to bowl the 5th over. In his last over, Shami yet again dismissed captain Kane Williamson which brought out Rahul Tripathi to bat for Sunrisers Hyderabad.

On the third ball of the 5th over, Rahul Tripathi used his legs and got to the length of the delivery by Shami, opened the face of the bat and carved it over extra cover for a six.

Rahul Tripathi displayed an 'action-replay' of the last shot, only this time it went to the fence for a four. Shami overpitched the next delivery on off. Tripathi stayed in his crease and drove it wide of cover, finding the gap as the ball went for another four.

After getting smacked for 14 runs in 3 balls, Shami made a comeback. A nip-backer at pace had the batter beat as the ball missed his bat and crashed into the pads. The umpire adjudged it not out. Shami instantly went for the review, and the replay showed three reds. Tripathi was dismissed after playing a short cameo of 16 runs in 10 balls with 2 fours and 1 six.
