Wicket Keeper-batter Sheldon Jackson has decided to return to Saurashtra for the upcoming Ranji Trophy season after moving to Puducherry in the last season.

Jackson, 34, had left Saurashtra to play for Puducherry for "personal reasons". He has now obtained a No Objection Certificate from the Cricket Association of Puducherry to get back to Saurashtra for this season.

"He has got the NOC and we are happy to have him back. Last year, it was his personal decision to leave Saurashtra, now that he is happy, we welcome him back," Saurashtra Cricket Association chief Jaydev Shah told Sportstar.

The veteran batter played a key role in helping Saurashtra clinch its first-ever Ranji Trophy Title in the 2019-20 season, scoring 809 runs.

Ranji Trophy 2021-22 will start from November 16 in a three-month window with the final being played on 19 February 2022.
