Shimron Hetmyer is one of the most destructive West Indian batter playing in the IPL 2022. Time and time again Hetmyer has shown his power hitting abilities and that's why IPL franchises want him in the team.

In this season, Rajasthan Royals have picked him in the IPL Auction. Hetmyer's role in RR is that of finishers. In an ideal situation, Royals would want Hetmyer to come in the second half of the inning and immediately begin with his power hitting.

In the first match vs SRH, Hetmyer finished the inning with a quickfire 32 in 13 balls with the help of three sixes and two fours.
Now vs Mumbai Indians, Hetmyer came in the 15th over of the match when captain Sanju Samson got out. Hetmyer took an over to set his eye in and then came the 17th over of Kieron Pollard.

Pollard was in a decent spell where he picked the wicket of Samson and only conceded 20 runs in the first three overs. Rohit didn't have any other bowler so he had to gamble Pollard's fourth over as well.

But Hetmyer had set his eye and it was time to begin the role.

The first ball was short and slow. Hetmyer had no issues in sending the ball to the boundary and begin the over with a six. On the next ball, Pollard came round the wicket and bowled another slow pace delivery and Hetmyer once again smacked towards the mid wicket region for another six.

Third ball was a full and Hetmyer smashed it straight for a four. On the next ball, Pollard tried a yorker but it drifted down the leg and Hetmyer once again sent the boundary for a boundary.

In total of, Hetmyer smacked 26 runs in Pollard's over including two sixes, two fours, and a boundary off leg byes.
