After a break of one week, South Africa's popular T20 league, SA20, is set to resume on February 2nd (Thursday). However, while some of the players have left for national duties or due to injuries, the franchises have announced replacements which are set to bring much more excitement to the league.
T20 World Cup 2022 winner and Australia's wicket-keeper batter Matthew Wade has joined the SA20 along with swashbuckling all-rounder Tim David and batter Ben McDermott. Here are all the new players in the SA20 prior to the restart.
Pretoria Capitals
The table toppers at the moment, Pretoria Capitals, will miss the services of batter Harry Brook, who has been called up for the England Test Squad which are set to tour New Zealand. The Capitals have roped in South African cricketer Colin Ingram to their team as a replacement. Colin Ingram has played 31 ODIs and 9 T20Is for the Proteas. The batter is heavily experienced in T20s, playing 319 across all leagues around the world.
Joburg Super Kings

MI Cape Town
Australian hard-hitter Tim David and English pacer Henry Brookes are set to join MI Cape Town as English all-rounder Liam Livingstone and pacer Olly Stone have been ruled out due to injuries.
Durban's Super Giants
Currently reeling on the last spot on the points table, Durban's Super Giants have brought in Aussie batter Ben McDermott and English all-rounder David Willey for the remainder of the season as West Indians Kyle Mayers and Jason Holder depart for national duty.
Sunrisers Eastern Cape
Sunrisers Eastern Cape have added South Africa's limited overs skipper Temba Bavuma to their squad, replacing English all-rounder Tom Abell. Bavuma has been rewarded for his hundred in the 2nd ODI between South Africa and England. Temba Bavuma was previously snubbed in the SA20 auction.
