IND vs SL: T20 is a format popularized by the number of boundaries scored by batters in the 20 over-side games. Boundaries are the quickest way to up the run rate in such a limited number of overs and take your side to a good total.

Indian players, on one hand, are working on their firepower as India registered the most runs in the final overs in its T20 history in the last T20I against West Indies. The Sri Lankan team on the other hand are relatively new and will face the challenge of Indian bowlers.

The Indian vice-captain, who is set to miss the upcoming T20I series against Sri Lanka, ranks 5th in the most sixes in India vs Sri Lanka T20Is. Rahul has smacked 10 sixes in 7 innings against Sri Lanka and has a strike rate of 141.14 against this opposition.


#4. Yuvraj Singh (11 sixes)

The 'King' of sixes, Yuvraj Singh ranks next with 11 sixes in 8 innings. The former southpaw Indian legend maintained a strike rate of 140.90 against Sri Lanka. 


#3. Shikhar Dhawan (12 sixes)

Another southpaw from India, Shikhar Dhawan ranks 3rd on this list with 12 sixes to his name in 11 innings against Sri Lanka. Six of these 12 sixes were smacked by Dhawan in a single match, in the 1st T20I at Colombo in 2018 in the Nidahas Tri-Series. Dhawan smacked 90 runs off 49 balls, with 6 fours and 6 sixes, which is also his highest score against Sri Lanka in T20Is. 


#2. Rohit Sharma (14 sixes)

Rohit Sharma's liking for smashing Lankan bowlers has been visible throughout the years. The Indian skipper has smashed 14 sixes in 13 innings against Sri Lanka in the T20I series. Rohit's strike rate remains 143.78 with a century against this opponent in T20Is.

Sri Lanka's left-handed keeper-batter Kusal Perera tops the list with 14 sixes to his name 8 innings, with a strike rate of 138.70 and 2 half-centuries. Kusal Perera played a gem of innings in the 2nd T20I at Indore in 2017, whilst chasing 261 in 20 overs. Kusal scored 77 runs off 37 balls batting at #3, and smacked 4 fours and 7 sixes in this inning. However, Sri Lanka were let down by all their batters except the top three and lost the match by 88 runs.
