The T20 format is popularly a 'batter dominated' format, where the batters smash the bowlers all around and the audience are hoping to watch plenty of fours & sixes. Virat Kohli recently smacked his 32nd T20I fifty in the ongoing Asia Cup 2022. 

Out of many notable names in the T20Is like Chris Gayle, Jos Buttler, Aaron Finch, KL Rahul & more but none of these are in the top 5 when it comes to most fifties.

Here are the top 5 batters with the most half-centuries in International T20 Cricket. 


#5. Martin Guptill (22)

Ace batter from New Zealand Martin Guptill ranks 5th on this list with 32 fifties to his name in 121 T20Is. The 35-year old top order batter has registered 3,497 runs at a strike rate of 135.80 in T20Is, registering 2 centuries in the format as well with a top score of 105. 


#4. David Warner (23)

David Warner is a cricketer who has made his name through his excellence in the shorter format, going on to play all three formats for the Australian team. Warner has 23 fifties to his name in 91 T20Is, with 2,684 runs to his name at a strike rate of 140.89. The Southpaw also has a ton to his name in T20 internationals. 


#3. Babar Azam (27)

Pakistan skipper Babar Azam has been consistent in his T20I outings, scoring 27 fifties in 91 matches with a ton to his name as well. Azam has scored 2,719 runs at an average of 43.85 with also a ton to his name. 


#2. Rohit Sharma (31)

Indian skipper Rohit Sharma ranks second on this list with 31 fifties in 127 innings, scoring 3,548 runs. Rohit has a strike rate of 140.07 in T20 internationals, smacking 4 centuries in the format as well.

Former Indian captain Virat Kohli has been an excellent batter in the T20Is for his team. Run Machine Kohli has 3,462 runs to his name in 94 T20I innings, smacking 32 fifties with an impeccable average of 50.91 while striking at 137.10.
