IND vs AUS: With the upcoming T20 World Cup 2022, the #1 ranked T20I team - India, is set to take on current T20 World Champions Australia in a 3-match T20I series, starting September 20th. Both teams would look to cement their combinations for the upcoming T20 tournament. 

With the series taking place in India, the bowlers would have their task cut out as the batters would look to take advantage of the batting-friendly pitches. While Jasprit Bumrah and Harshal Patel are returning from injuries, Umesh Yadav has been named in the squad after three years. While Australia would miss the services of their ace pacer Mitchell Starc.

In the first T20I at Vishakhapatnam in 2019, Coulter Nile picked up 3 wickets for 26 runs as Australia halted India to 126/7, and chased down the target in 20 overs with 3 wickets in hand.

In a group match of World T20 in 2014, India posted 159/7 in the first innings. In reply, Australia were bowled out for just 86 runs in 16.2 overs as Ashwin picked up 4 wickets for just 11 runs. India won the match by 73 runs.

Indian ace pacer Jasprit Bumrah stands atop this list with 15 wickets to his name in 11 innings. Bumrah averages 20.13 at an economy of 7.45 against the Aussies and would be hoping for a good comeback to get back into the grove for the upcoming T20 World Cup. In the 1st T20I at Vishakhapatnam in 2019, where Australia were chasing 127 to win, Bumrah picked up 3 wickets for 16 runs in 4 overs as Australia struggled to chase the low score. However, the Aussies won the match by 3 wickets on the very last delivery of the match.
