Stats: Top Five Players With The Highest Strike Rates In ODIs
Smashing a 60-ball hundred in an ODI game and maintaining that strike rate throughout the career is altogether a different thing that not many players can do. Not every player can be termed destructive in an ODI format.
Let's take a look at the top five players with the highest strike rates(minimum 100 innings played):
1) Glenn Maxwell:
Australia's one of the most destructive batters and rightly so. Glenn Maxwell, in 106 innings, has a strike rate of 125.43 - the highest among those who have batted more than 100 innings. Maxwell has scored 3230 runs in ODIs so far.
2) Jos Buttler:
The wicketkeeper batter is very tough to stop once he gets going in his innings. Jos Buttler is one of England's best wk-batters in limited-overs cricket. He has a strike rate of 118.66 in 123 ODI innings. Buttler has scored 3872 runs so far.
3) Shahid Afridi:
When it comes to the most destructive batters in the history of cricket, Shahid Afridi's name will always be taken into consideration. In ODI cricket, Afridi had a strike rate of 117 in 369 innings. He scored 8064 runs in his ODI career. And mind you, Afridi began his cricket career in the pre-T20 era.
4) Thisara Perera:
Sri Lanka's underrated all-rounder Thisara Perera played 133 ODI innings in his career and maintained a strike rate of 112.08. Perera hit 2338 runs in ODIs.
