Sunrisers Hyderabad Dominate Royal Challengers Bangalore

A dominant all-round performance from Sunrisers Hyderabad helped them defeat Royal Challengers Bangalore by nine wickets in match 36 of the IPL 2022 played at Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai. 

Chasing a mere target of 69 runs, Abhishek Sharma smacked 47 runs in just 28 balls with the help of eight fours and a six, making most of the powerplay restrictions in the first six overs. SRH hit 56 runs in the first six overs. 

Harshal Patel got Abhishek out in the eighth over but Hyderabad only needed five runs at that stage. Rahul Tripathi walked in at number three and finished the game with a six in the same over. Kane Williamson remained not out at the other end, scoring 16 runs in 17 balls. 

Earlier, RCB got bowled out to IPL 2022's lowest team total - 68. 

Bangalore's batting debacle began in the second over when Marco Jansen removed the top three - Faf du Plessis, Anuj Rawat, & Virat Kohli - within the space of five balls. Glenn Maxwell tried to counter-attack with 12 runs in 11 balls but T Natarajan got him out in the fifth over. RCB finished the powerplay with the score reading 31/4. 

Suyash Prabhudessai and Shahbaz Ahmed tried to rebuild the inning with a 27-run stand in 25 balls for the fifth wicket Jagadeesh Suchith broke the partnership in the ninth over. RCB's main man Dinesh Karthik couldn't take the team out of the situation and also got out in the same over for a three-ball duck. 

Shahbaz Ahmed got out two balls later as RCB got reduced to 49/7. Harshal Patel survived three overs and then got out in the 13th over. The struggle continued for RCB as they managed to survive 16.1 overs and scored 68 runs. 

Jansen and Natarajan took three wickets each, Suchith took two while Bhuvneshwar Kumar & Umran Malik picked a wicket each.
