Former India allrounder Suresh Raina is all set to make his return to the cricket field on Sunday when he will be seen in action for Uttar Pradesh in the team's opening match against Punjab in the 2021 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.

Meanwhile, Fans are eagerly waiting for his star and a day before the match Suresh Raina started trending on the twitter when his supporteres flooded the platform with their wishes.

Suresh Raina who missed out on the IPL 2020 in controversial circumstances hopes to play some good cricket. When asked as to what his outlook for mentoring and for the Syed Mushtaq Ali will be, Suresh Raina was to the point.

“It's been so long I haven't played some good cricket, so my current focus is on the upcoming Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, and definitely would like to prepare myself for the IPL 2021. My mantra is just believe in yourself. And, if you are taking up any sport or any of the field, it's really important to get to the roots of it. It's about finding your purpose, and if you want to achieve something then you need to have that dedication towards it,” Suresh Raina said.

The tournament is the first of the Indian domestic season that has been pushed back due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The southpaw later took to his social media platforms to post a clip from the training ground.
