Video: Suryakumar Yadav Announces Himself At International Cricket With A Six Off Archer On First Ball
India is playing England in the 4th T20I at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. The visitors are currently ahead in the five-match series 2-1.
After being put in to bat first yet again by England captain Eoin Morgan, India lost the wicket of Rohit Sharma inside the powerplay to bring in Suryakumar Yadav at number 3.
Yadav, who is playing his second T20I but was facing his first ball in international cricket since he didn't get the chance to bat in his last match.
However, he certainly didn't look like he was facing his first ball as he smashed Jofra Archer, who got the wicket of Rohit on the previous ball, for a six. Suryakumar Yadav pulled Archer for a six over the fine leg.
He became only the third player ever to score a six off the first ball in international cricket. Sohail Tanvir and Michael Craig are the other two batsmen.
