PAK vs BAN: Pakistan secures a place in the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup after defeating Bangladesh by 5 wickets here at Adelaide Oval.

Pakistan came to chase a low target of 127 where their opening pair finally got some runs for their team. Skipper Babar Azam played at a very slow pace and scored 25 runs in 33 balls and Mohammad Rizwan got to run a ball 32 of 32.

Both the batters partnered 57 runs in the first wicket stand in 10.3 overs. After that newbie, Mohammad Haris nailed 31 runs in 18 deliveries with 1 four and 2 sixes.

Bangladesh came to bat first and delivered a convincing start. Opener Najmul Shanto scored a half-century and got a 52-run second wicket stand with Soumya Sarkar (20 in 17).

Najmul got 54 runs in 48 balls and Afif Hossain with 24 runs in 17 deliveries was the second-leading run scorer for Bangladesh.

Star all-rounder Shadab Khan took 2/30, and Haris Rauf and Iftikhar Ahmed got one wicket each for their team.
