T20 World Cup: Three Batters Who Can Grab The 'Player Of The Tournament' Award In The Upcoming WC

T20 World Cup has been played seven times till now, during which all seven times batters were adjudged the 'Player of the Tournament'. Therefore, ahead of the upcoming T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia, we'll look at three batters who can potentially win the 'Player of the Tournament' award this year. 


Jos Buttler

England captain and explosive batter Jos Buttler looks well on his way to becoming the 'Player of the Tournament' in T20 WC 2022. While opening the batting, Buttler has the potential to take on and wreak havoc on any bowling attack on his good day. Buttler is also a clean striker of the ball. The batter has also piled on runs recently, smashing 863 runs in the concluded IPL 2022. Due to this, the batter has been placed #1 on this list. 


Suryakumar Yadav

Team India's middle-order batter Suryakumar Yadav is in tremendous form with the bat at the moment. Recently, Suryakumar has shown impeccable batting against World Class bowlers. The batter has also earned the title of 'Mr. 360', as he has shown his capability to strike the ball at any corner of the ground, like former South African batter AB de Villiers. SKY's strike rate reads 177.4 in T20Is for India and is a strong contender to win the 'Player of the Tournament' award in the T20 World Cup 2022. 


David Warner

Australian opener David Warner is also a strong contender to win the 'Player of the Tournament' award in this World Cup. Warner won this award in T20 World Cup 2021 as Australia lifted the title for the first time. The Southpaw is one of the players who like to up his performance on the big stages. Till now, Virat Kohli is the only batter to win this award twice and now David Warner seems like he can achieve this feat as well.
