After consistent rains at Brisbane (The Gabba) on Thursday (October 19th), the warm-up match between New Zealand and India for T20 World Cup 2022 has been called off.

The official account of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) informed about the same on Twitter. 'Match at The Gabba has been called off due to persistent rains.' read the tweet by BCCI.

Earlier, the rain had washed out the practice match between Pakistan and Afghanistan at the same venue and the weather forecast has not improved since then.

In their first warm-up game, New Zealand faced a humiliating defeat against South Africa as they were bowled out for just 98 runs, going on to lose the match by 9 wickets.

India on the other hand defeated Australia by 6 runs in their first warm-up game, which went down to the 20th over.
