The popular Sharjah Crcket Stadium of UAE holds the record of hosting most number of one-day international matches. It’s followed by Sydney Cricket Ground and Melbourne Cricket Ground of Australia at No.2 and 3 respectively.

1. Sharjah Cricket Stadium, UAE

Sharjah Cricket Stadium tops the list of hosting most number of One-Day Internationals. Located in UAE, the stadium has hosted 226 matches till date. The first ODI was held on 6th April 1984 between Pakistan and Sri Lanka. 

 

2. Sydney Cricket Ground, Australia

Sydney Cricket Ground or SCG as it’s popularly known as ranks No.2 in the list of hosting most number of ODIs. Located in the city of Sydney in Australia, the stadium has hosted 154 matches till date. The first ODI was held on 13th January 1979 between Australia and England.

 

3. Melbourne Cricket Ground, Australia

Melbourne Cricket Ground or MCG as it’s popularly known as ranks No.3 in the list of hosting most number of ODIs. Located in the city of Melbourne in Australia, the stadium has hosted 147 matches till date. The first ODI was held on 5th January 1971 between Australia and England.

 

4. Harare Sports Club, Zimbabwe

Harare Sports Clubof Zimbabwe is at No.4 in the list of hosting most number of ODIs. Located in the capital city of Zimbabwe, Harare, the stadium has hosted 136 matches till date. The first ODI was held on 25th October 1992 between India and Zimbabwe.

 

5. R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium, Sri Lanka

R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadiumof Sri Lanka is at No.5 in the list of hosting most number of ODIs. Located in the capital city of Sri Lanka, Colombo, the stadium has hosted 122 matches till date. The first ODI was held on 5th April 1986 between Sri Lanka and New Zealand.
