Topley Guides England To 100 Run Win Against India In 2nd ODI; Level 3 Match Series 1-1

ENG vs IND 2nd ODI: England bowlers pulled off an impressive bowling performance, bowling out team India for 146 runs and winning the 2nd ODI by 100 runs.

Reece Topley was the top performer for the English team with the best bowling figures for an English bowler in ODIs. With the first four overs bowled a maiden, Rohit Sharma was dismissed in the 3rd over for a duck. India went on to lose wickets at regular intervals and eventually were bowled out for 246 in 38.5 overs. For England, Reece Topley was the star as he picked up 6 wickets in 9.5 overs, giving away just 24 runs. Apart from him, David Willey, Brydon Carse, Moeen Ali and Liam Livingstone picked up a wicket each.

With this win, England have levelled the 3-match ODI series at 1-1.

Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja were the highest scorers for team India with 29 runs each to their name as none of the other batters were able to cross the 30-run mark.

In the first innings, Courtesy of another dominating bowling performance, India managed to halt England at 246 in 49 overs in the 2nd ODI. Yuzvendra Chahal was the star with the ball as he picked up 4 wickets in his 10 overs, giving away 47 runs. Apart from Chahal, Hardik Pandya & Jasprit Bumrah picked up 2 wickets each while Mohammad Shami and Prasidh Krishna managed 1 wicket each.

For England, Moeen Ali was the top scorer with 47 runs off 64 balls with 2 fours & 2 sixes. David Willey contributed with 41 runs off 49 balls with 2 fours and 2 sixes while Jonny Bairstow scored 38-off-38. Liam Livingstone also scored 33 runs at a strike rate of 100. Earlier, India captain Rohit Sharma won the toss & opted to bowl first against England in the 2nd ODI.
