Vicky Ostwal is one of the many factors in India's successful U19 World Cup campaign. The crafty leg arm spinner was a delight to watch whenever he came onto bowl. The 6 feet tall bowler's ability to generate turn and bounce made him the coach's favorite.

1) Vicky Ostwal was born on September 1st, 2002 in Lonawala, Maharashtra. 

2) His father, Kanhaiya, a local businessman, used to take him to the academy from Lonavala to Chinchwad in local trains every day. It took them at least an hour and a half for one side travel. 

3) Vicky Ostwal's coach, Mohan Jadhav, advised the father-son duo to join Vengsarkar Academy in Pune so as to minimize the travel time. 

4) Ostwal used to play under 13 - under 14 matches when he was just 10 years old. The left-arm spinner played for Maharashtra at the age group level when he was just 13 years old. 

5) Ostwal, when he was just 14, got dropped from the zonal U16 state team due to a suspected action. He then met Atul Gaikwad - a level 3 coach from NCA who also worked with Rahul Dravid. He helped him tweak the action to bring him back. 

6) Vicky Ostwal was a net bowler in Chennai Super Kings(CSK) camp during IPL 2019.
