VIDEO: Harbhajan Singh Announces Retirement From All Forms Of Cricket

Ace Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh announced his retirement from all forms of cricket on December 24th (Friday). Bhajji took to Twitter to announce his retirement after he was away from playing active cricket since the first leg of IPL 2021. 

Harbhajan Singh has retired from international cricket after playing  103 tests, 236 ODIs & 28 T20Is for India. The veteran off-spinner has picked up 711 wickets in international cricket. Not only this, he proved his mettle with the bat as well on numerous occasions. He has 3,569 runs to his name across formats. 

Harbhajan represented Mumbai Indians, Chennai Super Kings & lastly Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL. The 'Turbantor' has picked up 150 wickets in his IPL career. However, the Off Spinner will always be remembered for the match-winning bowling figures in the historic 2001 Eden Garden test against Australia. 

“All good things come to an end and today as I bid adieu to the game that has given me everything in life, I would like to thank everyone who made this 23-year-long journey beautiful and memorable,” Harbhajan tweeted. 

Harbhajan Singh also posted a heartfelt video message to all his fans and family announcing his retirement.

It would be interesting to see what Harbhajan Singh does with the 2nd innings of his life, reports have earlier stated that he'll join an IPL franchise as a spin consultant while he was also seen as an active part of the broadcasting & commentary teams.
