VIDEO: Lungi Ngidi Dismisses Mayank Agarwal; Indian Camp Unhappy With Hawk-Eye Technology
In the ongoing 1st test match between South Africa & India, India opted to bat first after winning the toss & openers KL Rahul & Mayank Agarwal proved this decision right after they etched an opening stand of 177 runs. However, Lungi Ngidi finally dismissed Mayank Agarwal and the Indian camp wasn't too happy with the decision!
In the 41st over, Mayank smacked the first ball by Lungi Ngidi for a boundary. On the second delivery, Ngidi came back with a delivery that seamed sharply from the back of length on the off-stump line. Mayank tried to work it away and hopped, the ball missed the inside edge and struck him on the pads. South Africans appealed but the umpire adjudged it not out.
The fielding team then took their DRS review. In the replay, ball tracking displayed that the ball was going on to hit the top of the leg stump. Mayank was adjudged out, however, the Indians were unhappy as it should've been an 'Umpire's call' judging by the height of the ball when it struck the pads. Nevertheless, Mayank Agarwal walked back to the pavilion after scoring 60 runs off 149 balls with 10 boundaries.
