In the crucial match being played in the Super 12 stage of the ICC T20 World Cup, Afghanistan has set a target of 125 runs against New Zealand. In this match, after winning the toss and electing to bat first, the Afghanistan team scored 124 runs at a loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs. Najibullah Zadran (73) played the most important role in achieving this score.
Zadran single-handedly carried the burden of the entire team and the expectations of millions of Indian fans. He smashed six fours & 3 sixes in this innings. Zadran smashed Mitchell Santner the most, hitting him for two sixes in the same over.
Zadran started the 14th over with a six over long-on and then stunned the Kiwis by hitting another long six on the very next ball. Santner was left shocked after this onslaught by Najibullah Zadran.
