VIDEO: Rohit Sharma Withdraws Appeal, Doesn't Allow Pandya To Dismiss Rahul

Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma won the toss against Punjab Kings and opted to field first in the 42nd match of the IPL 2021, being played at Sheik Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi. Rohit's decision to field first seems perfect till now.

Punjab Kings have scored 122-5 in 18 overs while this piece is being written. However, there was a moment that would force anyone to appreciate Rohit Sharma even more. 

This incident happened in the 6th over when Chris Gayle was batting against Krunal Pandya. Gayle hit a straight shot which, after deflecting off Rahul at non-strikers' end, went straight to Krunal Pandya who did a run out against Rahul who was not in his crease. 

Krunal appealed for runout and the umpire even decided to go to the third umpire but Rohit Sharma asked the umpire to disregard this appeal, and seeing his captain, Krunal also withdrew his appeal.
