Kohli attends Pro Kabaddi League's opening ceremony

Virat Kohli has attended the opening match of the 4th season of Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) between Puneri Platan and Telugu Titans in Mumbai. During the match, he shared his thoughts on the competition and his association with kabaddi. “This is my first Pro Kabaddi League match live. Sure I have watched this on TV and we all love it. Love the enthusiasm of the fans, a sport very ethnic to us and attached to us,” he said.

“When I came and saw that these guys have strapping everywhere. They are very athletic and have to be trained for it.”

About Role of Aggression on the field

“Modern sport has an important role for aggression. For a competitive streak, aggression is important. I am rather expressive of it. You have to be aggressive in the mind first and then take it on,” he said.

On his association with Kabaddi

“I have played as a kid but not at this level. Sometimes it looks like these guys are going to take you out when they come for a raid,” he said.
