South Africa vs India: In the ongoing 2nd ODI at Boland Park, Paarl, India won the toss and opted to bat first. However, India lost Sikhar Dhawan after a good start, in the 12th over. In the next over, India's former captain Virat Kohli, who smacked a fifty in the last match, also departed, and that too for a duck!

In the 13th over of the Indian innings, Virat Kohli had just come out to bat after Shikhar Dhawan was dismissed the last over. On the 4th ball of the over, being bowled by Keshav Maharaj, Virat Kohli went for a drive on a tossed up delivery on the middle. However, Virat Kohli found Temba Bavuma at cover.

As Virat's one hand came off the bat as he went for the drive, his intention of going over Bavuma failed. The ball seemed to stop just before contact with the bat and Virat fails to keep it down as he goes for a duck.

Notably, this is Virat Kohli's first series in which he's playing as a pure batter and not captain in the last 5 years in any format. While the Indian batter smacked a half-century in the last match, the wait for his 71st international century has continued without result.

While writing this piece, India are at 218/5 in 40.3 overs with Venkatesh Iyer (16*) and Shardul Thakur (5*) at the crease. India are 0-1 down in the 3-match ODI series and this is a 'do-or-die' match for team India if they want to win the series.
