Want to play my last Test at Eden Gardens says Harbhajan

Kolkata, Oct 7. Seasoned India off-spinner Harbhajan Singh on Wednesday said he would ideally want to retire from cricket after playing a Test match here at the Eden Gardens.

The ground has favoured the offie and he once picked up 13 wickets in a Test match in 2001 where the "turbanator" single-handedly demolished the Australians. He also bagged a hat-trick in the game.

"I have not planned anything but yes, whenever I decide to play my last match I would think of Eden Gardens. I would want to retire from here but it has to be in a Test match,” Harbhajan said.

He was also instrumental in helping India to a win in 2010 where they beat South Africa by an innings and 57 runs which had helped them retain the top spot in Test matches.

The 35-year-old also compared England's historic Lord’s stadium to the Eden Gardens adding that playing here was like coming back home. "Playing here is always special, it is like coming home! If you say cricket in England is at Lords, then for me in India Eden Gardens is the place to play cricket."
