ENG vs NZ 1st test: The 3-match test series between England & New Zealand has commenced. The first test match of the series is being played at Lord's. In this match, the 39-year old England pacer James Anderson wreaked havoc on the Kiwi batters. In his opening spell only, James Anderson broke Kiwi batting's top order and shuffled them like a pack of cards. 

The New Zealand batters looked clueless while facing James Anderson, and in his opening spell, Anderson wreaked havoc. James Anderson bowled 6 overs in his opening spell, out of which 5 overs were maiden while conceding 4 runs and picking up 2 wickets. With the rhythm and control which Anderson has while bowling at this age, it seems like the ace pacer is ageing like fine wine. 

James Anderson is a legendary pacer whose popularity isn't only limited to England, but the whole international circuit. Anderson has registered a total of 644 wickets to his name in 170 test matches. The English pacer is the highest wicket-taker among pacers. The fitness and rhythm which Anderson had while bowling clearly displayed that he has a lot of cricket left in him still.

While talking about the match, New Zealand captain Kane Williamson won the toss & opted to bat first against England. This decision proved to be disastrous for Kiwis as the top order stumbled like a pack of cards. New Zealand were bowled out for 132 in 40 overs in the first innings as Anderson & Potts ended up with 4 wickets each. While writing this piece, England are at 60/1, trailing by 72 runs.
