WATCH: 41-Year Old Kevin Pietersen Defies Age With An Unbelievable Catch

Legends League Cricket 2022: In the finals of the LLC 2022, World Giants defeated Asia Lions by 25 runs to lift the Legends Trophy. During this match, 41-year old former English batter Kevin Pietersen displayed an excellent display of fielding and showed his age-proof display in front of the world. 

The 12th over of the Asia Lions' innings was being bowled by Albie Morkel, in which the South African had already dismissed Lions' captain Misbah-ul-Haq on the first delivery. On the 4th delivery, Asghar Afghan, who had already smacked 2 boundaries and 2 sixes, dispatched another one towards the boundary line. 

However, Kevin Pietersen, fielding at the boundary line, decided to put a stop to this inning with his fitness. He timed his backwards jump to perfection as he caught the ball mid-air. As he was landing, his wits had accurately calculated that he'd land beyond the boundary rope, and he tossed the ball towards his teammate Darren Sammy. With this, these two completed a fantastic partnership catch to dismiss Asghar Afghan.

While talking about the match, after being put into bat first, Corey Anderson (94) and Kevin Pietersen (48) powered World Giants to 256/5 in 20 overs. In reply, almost all of Asia Lions batting started off good but fell 25 runs short with an excellent bowling display from World Giants' bowlers.
