In the 18th match of the ongoing The Hundred tournament in England, Manchester Originals defeated Southern Brave by 68 runs to register their 2nd win in three days. Captain Jos Buttler and Andre Russell played an important part in this win for Manchester. Batting first, Manchester scored 188 runs in 100 balls, and then bowled out defending champions Southern Brave to 120 runs, as the Jos Buttler-led Manchester Originals team registered a 68-run win.

Buttler scored 68 runs in 42 balls but the way Andre Russell batted in the death overs while batting at #4, absolutely won the fans' hearts. Russell blasted an unbeaten 64 runs in 23 balls and rained boundaries at the stadium, entertaining all the spectators. In his knock, Russell smacked six fours and five long sixes.

Due to Russell's fireworks, Manchester were able to post a huge score of 188 runs in 100 balls. The West Indian also displayed his magic with the ball apart from the bat as he picked up a wicket and was adjudged the man of the match for his tremendous performance in the match. Apart from Russell, Matt Parkinson, Tristan Stubbs, Paul Walter, Sean Abbott and Tom Hartley picked up wickets for Manchester to restrict defending champions Southern Brave way before the target.
