INDW vs RSAW: In the concluded 28th league match of the ongoing ICC Women's Cricket World Cup 2022, India women lost to South Africa by 3 wickets and crashed out of the tournament. However, in the last over at one point seemed India might make it, but yet another 'no-ball' broke Indian hearts.

In the last over of the match, South Africa needed 7 runs to win. Former South African captain Mignon du Preez was in the middle for her team batting at 49* off 59. However, the set batter was at the non-striker's end. When the batter finally managed to get the strike, South Africa still required 3 runs off 2 balls.

Deepti Sharma, bowling the last over, pitched the fifth delivery on the up against du Preez on the off. Du Preez saw a chance of clearing the boundary and finishing the match as she lofted it wide of long-on. However, the ball was dragged high in the air and Harmanpreet Kaur, fielding at long-on completed the catch.

But it was a heartbreak for team India as the delivery was adjudged a 'no-ball' due to the overstepping of the bowler. Deepti missed out on the crucial wicket due to a mistake and South Africa went on to win the match by 3 wickets on the last delivery. India were in a do-or-die situation in their last league match in this World Cup and are now eliminated from the tournament.
