The standard of fielding in international cricket is only getting high. Every now and then we get to see some brilliant display of fielding that only amazes the viewers.
On yet another day of cricket, the viewers witnessed another fantastic fielding effort - this time in ICC Women's World Cup Semifinal between Australia and West Indies. The tournament had already seen brilliant catches taken and another one got added to the list as Beth Mooney took a stunning catch.
Fielding at a short square leg is never easy since the shot, especially the pull shot, comes at a great speed towards the fielder. In the fourth over of the second inning, Rashada Williams tried to get off the mark as she smacked Megan Schutt's short ball towards the square leg region.
Beth Mooney was fielding at the catching distance in the short square leg area and the ball was traveling fast from her right side. Mooney jumped and grabbed the ball in the air from one hand.
