Collapses in test matches are now a very common occurrence due to the lethal bowling lineups teams possess. With these regular occurrences, there are always heroes who come to the rescue of the team and fight back. Today, it was Colin de Grandhomme for New Zealand.
In the 2nd test against South Africa, Grandhomme arrived at the crease when New Zealand were five down for 91 runs in the 27th over. The South African bowlers were dominating the proceedings but Grandhomme counterattacked.
The allrounder smacked seven fours and two sixes, particularly smashing Wian Mulder with two fours and a six in an over and later taking on Lutho Sipamla as well.

He along with Daryl Mitchell added 66 runs in 112 balls for the sixth wicket to not only rescue New Zealand from a collapse but also end day 2 with some momentum. However, it's still a long way to go for New Zealand as they trail by 207 runs.
