KKR vs DC IPL 2022: Chasing a mammoth total, Kolkata Knight Riders openers had a job, to provide a start good enough to chase down the total. However, in the first three deliveries, a rather funny series of incidents happened as opener Ajinkya Rahane was found struggling against Bangladesh pacer Mustafizur Rahman.

On the first delivery of KKR's inning, Mustafizur bowled the delivery on a length around outside off and shaped back in to beat Rahane's defence attempt. The umpire adjudged Rahane caught behind. However, the Indian batter went for a review. In the replay, it was evident that the ball had brushed the upper part of his pad, and hence the decision was reversed.

Mustafizur pitched the second delivery again around off as the ball-shaped back slightly. Rahane managed an inside edge that deflected onto his pads. The umpire adjudged him LBW out, and the DRS review saved the batter yet again.

The comedy was completed on the third delivery when Fizz bowled full and wide outside off delivery. Rahane missed the drive while playing away from his body, and there was a faint outside edge that carried to wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant. However, none of the fielders appealed, and Rahane survived after two wrong calls against him.

However, Rahane couldn't capitalize on it and was dismissed by Khaleel Ahmed in the 5th over. The opener scored 8 runs of 14 balls with a four, and his brief stay at the crease looked very uncomfortable.
