WATCH: Daryl Mitchell's Six Lands Straight Into Fan's Beer; Later Apologizes By Replacing Her Pint
A lady in the crowd and New Zealand's Daryl Mitchell had a hilarious first interaction during the second test match against England at Trent Bridge, Nottingham. Mitchell was on the counter-attack as the Kiwis tried to take the aggressive road on day 1 to put runs on the board after losing four wickets in 42 overs.
In the 56th over, Mitchell sensed an opportunity to get a few boundaries with Jack Leach with the ball. He launched the first ball for a boundary to begin the over and on the third ball, Mitchell swung hard that it got enough to go straight into the crowd where it landed straight into a fan's beer pint.
The whole beer was spilled and the ball got wet. The umpires had to dry up the ball but the lady's beer had been spilled. Later in the day, New Zealand cricket replaced her destroyed pint of beer with a new one.
Post the day's play, Mitchell himself met the lady and he apologized to her again and made sure she had got her drink replaced.

"Sorry about that, nice to meet you," said Mitchell on meeting the lady fan. "They bought you another pint, did they?," the Kiwi all-rounder asked further. "They did indeed. In fact, the Barmy Army also bought me a pint," the lady said.
